Axios gathered sales data from four major dental suppliers: Dentsply Sirona, Align, Henry Schein and Patterson.

Dental supply purchases totaled $2.2 billion in 2020, down from nearly $4 billion in 2019. But recent patient volume increases have led dental practices to invest more in supplies such as implants, imaging machines, tools, teeth aligners and software.

Results from the companies’ 2021 second quarter financial reports show that sales are at nearly $4 billion.

At the Becker's 5th Annual Future of Dentistry Roundtable, taking place November 12–14 in Chicago, dental leaders and executives will gain insights into emerging technologies, practice growth strategies and the evolving landscape of dental care delivery, with a focus on innovation, patient experience and operational excellence.
