How dental companies fared in Q3

Four dental companies showed continued revenue growth in the third quarter of 2021, while one reported a dip in earnings.

How five companies performed in the third quarter:

Foothill Ranch, Calif.-based dental laser company Biolase earned $9.5 million in its third quarter.
Nashville, Tenn.-based teledentistry SmileDirectClub reported an 18.3 percent decrease in revenue in its third quarter over the prior year period.
Charlotte, N.C.-based supplier Dentsply Sirona brought in $1.69 million, a 19.4 percent jump in revenue.
Melville, N.Y.-based Henry Schein reported $3.2 billion in total net sales, an 11.9 percent increase from the third quarter in 2020.
Tempe, Ariz.-based Align Technology earned $1.16 billion in revenue, a 38.4 percent increase year over year.
