SmileDirectClub has added a gel that prevents stains from forming on teeth to its oral care line.
The Stain Barrier consists of a pen applicator with a whitening agent that forms a clear shield on teeth against drinks that commonly cause stains, including coffee, tea, red wine and soda, the teledentistry company said Feb. 2. The gel prevents stains for up to four hours.
The product is available on SmileDirectClub's website and on Amazon. The company said it plans to launch the product at more than 4,000 Walmart stores in mid-February.
The Stain Barrier comes after two recent product launches by SmileDirectClub, including its Pro Whitening System Plus and dissolving whitening strips.
