Zimmer Biomet sets completion date for dental, spine spinoff

After experiencing financial wins and losses in 2021, dental and medical device company Zimmer Biomet Holdings announced the spinoff for its dental and spine segment, ZimVie, is set to be completed March 1.

“When-issued” trading of common stock for ZimVie is expected to begin Feb. 14 on the Nasdaq under the symbol ZIMVV, according to a Feb. 7 press release. Stock traded on the “when-issued” market will be distributed to holders of Zimmer Biomet common stock March 1.

Below are the results for Zimmer Biomet’s dental and spine segment for the fourth quarter:

  • Net sales were at $260.7 million.
  • There was a 4.1 percent decrease in net sales from 2020.

Below are the results from Zimmer Biomet’s dental and spine segment for the fiscal year:

  • Net sales were at $1.01 billion.
  • There was a 12.5 percent increase in net sales from 2020.
