X-Nav Technologies has received FDA 510(k) clearance to expand the use of its X-Guide Dynamic Surgical Navigation system to endodontic procedures.
The surgical system gives dentists more precise and minimally invasive access to tooth structures, according to an April 26 news release. Dentists can see a live 3D view of a patient's mouth and are given a digital handpiece to guide their movements during surgery.
The surgical system has been used to perform more than 175,000 dental implants.
