Biolase and TeamSmile have partnered to give free dental treatment to children at TeamSmile events using Waterlase technology.
The addition of Biolase’s Waterlase technology will allow dentists to perform laser dentistry at events, which is beneficial as most treatments at the events are cavity removal, according to a July 5 news release. Waterlase technology allows dentists to perform minimally invasive procedures with less anesthetic and no drilling, the release said.
TeamSmile has had more than 250 programs since launching in 2007, serving more than 45,000 children and providing more than $18 million in care.
