3Shape has filed a U.S. patent infringement complaint against Atlanta-based Carestream Dental for its intraoral scanners, the dental supplier said Jan. 6.
The complaint alleges that Carestream Dental scanners infringe 3Shape’s patents for wireless scanning, tooth color shade measurement and use of a handheld scanner wand as a remote control.
The complaint was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas. It seeks monetary damages and injunctive relief.
