Henry Schein reports $2B in global dental sales during Q2

Dental supply company Henry Schein earned $2 billion in global dental sales during the second quarter, according to an Aug. 7 news release from the company.

Here are five more things to know about the financial report:

1. The $2 billion in sales marks a 5.6 percent increase from the second quarter of 2022. 

2. Dental merchandise sales were $1.51 billion and dental equipment sales were $443 million during the quarter. 

3. Sales in North America accounted for $1.17 billion of the company’s total global dental sales. 

4. Total dental sales were $3.86 billion in 2023 through the second quarter, compared to $3.68 billion in the same period last year. 

5. Henry Schein had a gross profit of $975 million during the second quarter across all of its departments.
