Here’s what you need to know:
1. There are two research grant awards — one in “basic science” and one in “applied science.” The academy is particularly interested in applications related to dental implant research.
2. To qualify, the applicants must conduct research at an academic dental institution and at least one person on the applicant team must be an AO member.
3. The Osseointegration Foundation Research Grants are funded by the Osseointegration Foundation and administered through AO.
The submission deadline is Dec. 2, 2016.
