ADA grants Genesee District Dental Society Golden Apple award

The Genesee District Dental Society, based in Flint Township, Mich., has received the Golden Apple award from the American Dental Association, according to a mlive report.

The dental society received the award for its partnership with Flint Diaper Bank on the public health promotion “Babies’ Health: From the Bottom Up.” The partnership is designed to raise funds for diapers and baby dental hygiene supplies.

The program was able to donate 13,600 packages of diapers, including oral health information and toothbrushes.
