1. U.S. News weighs several factors including median salary, employment rate and job prospects when determining its top 100 jobs.

2. The demand for dental services is high with the Bureau of Labor Statistics predicting an 18 percent growth in employment through 2024.

3. The dentist’s median salary of $152,700 was one of the highest ranked salaries on the job report. It ranked 9.8 out of 10.

4. U.S. News also ranked dental as the number one best healthcare job and the number nine best paying job in total.
