Dentsply Sirona to pay $1.2M over Iran exports violations: 3 things to know

Dentsply Sirona will pay $1.2 million to settle Iranian sanctions violations, according to Reuters.

Here are three things to know:

1. The U.S. Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control found two Dentsply Sirona subsidiaries violated the present sanctions against exports to Iran.

2. Dentsply Sirona’s UK International and DS Healthcare “knowingly exported 37 shipments of dental equipment and supplies from the U.S. directly or indirectly to Iran.”

3. With a 100-year background, Dentsply Sirona develops and manufactures products for preventive care, restorative care, endodontics and dental implants as well as imaging systems.
