Dr. Marcie Yang helps Wisconsin’s homeless students: 4 key notes

Marcie Yang, DDS, a dentist in Mauston, Wis., is raising funds for Mauston’s homeless student population, the Juneau County Star-Times reports.

1. Dr. Yang opened her Mauston practice in early 2016.

2. After learning of Mauston’s 5.5 percent homeless student population, she developed a fundraising effort called, “Kindness for Kids.” Dr. Yang is accepting donations through April 2017.

3. Dr. Yang reached out to several community partners to support her efforts.

4. Dr. Yang hopes the fundraiser can become an annual tradition.
