Here are five facts:
1. Dr. Chavis has practiced dentistry in the Laurinburg area for more than 30 years.
2. He said the partnership allows him the opportunity to provide an additional extension of services such as pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, prosthodontics and orthodontics.
3. Dr. Chavis graduated from the UNC-Chapel Hill School of Dentistry in 1980.
4. He is a member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Academy of General Dentistry, North Carolina Dental Society and Fourth District Dental Society.
5. Dr. Chavis previously represented North Carolina as an alternate delegate to the ADA national convention. He was also vice president of the NCDS and president of the Fourth District Dental Society.
