Dr. Boynes previously served as director of dental medicine at CareSouth Carolina in Society Hill, S.C., where he brought dental services to rural migrant farmers and working poor. Dr. Boynes also served as director of anesthesia research at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine.
