Frederick D. Furry resigned as CEO of BIOLASE, effective Jan. 31. Jeffrey M. Nugent now serves as president and CEO of the company.

Joseph F. Ruh was named general counsel and corporate secretary of Carestream Health.

DENTSPLY International reported a 10.8 percent increase, 611,143 shares, in short interest, according to an Ashburn Daily report.

DENTSPLY and the Foundation for Dental Laboratory Technology partnered to launch a virtual full denture training program.

Henry Schein reported a 7 percent increase in net profits for its fourth quarter, according to a Lancaster Online report. The company’s sales for the year totaled $10.37 billion, up 8.5 percent. 

Nine analysts covering Patterson Companies gave the company’s stock a “hold” rating, according to a report by The Legacy.
