The college accepts 40 students into its dental hygiene program each year. This year’s graduating cohort includes five men, according to a May 10 news release.

The college said that while the prevalence of men in nursing has grown, dental hygiene has not seen the same increase. Women represent about 94% of registered dental hygienists in the industry, the college said.

At the Becker's 5th Annual Future of Dentistry Roundtable, taking place September 14-15 in Chicago, dental leaders and executives will gain insights into emerging technologies, practice growth strategies and the evolving landscape of dental care delivery, with a focus on innovation, patient experience and operational excellence.
