Port Orchard dental clinic serves Medicaid patients — 5 highlights

 
Peninsula Community Health Services opened a Port Orchard (Wash.) dental clinic to offer services to Medicaid patients, according to Kitsap Sun.

Here are five highlights:

1. The clinic opened this summer and has six chairs.

2. The staff includes two dentist, six assistants, a hygienist, a sterilization technician and office staff.

3. An open housed is scheduled Dec. 22.

4. Peninsula Community Health Services, a nonprofit health center, spent $775,000 renovating and outfitting the space for the clinic.

5. Washington Dental Service Foundation, a nonprofit funded by Delta Dental of Washington, provided $275,000 for equipment.
