Set your practice apart: 4 things patients consider when choosing a dentist

The Pennsylvania Dental Association outlined four considerations patients have when choosing a dentist.

The considerations are:

1. Preventative care. As healthcare is increasingly focused on outcomes, preventative care will come more into play and successful dentists will make this a priority in their patient care.

2. Location, location, location. Market your location and make scheduling convenient for patients.

3. Easy access of medical records. Patients should be able to readily access their health record and review their records with their dentists or dental staff.

4. Emergency contact. Have an emergency contact for after hours, if a patient experiences an emergency.
