Todd Christianson, DDS, is a dentist at RiverRock Dental in Shakopee, Minn. When he heard that Woodbury (Minn.) Dental Arts was abruptly shut down, he stepped in to help the patients who were left in the lurch.
Woodbury Dental Arts, which was led by Marko Kamel, DDS, closed in March after Dr. Kamel said he “ran out of money” and filed for bankruptcy, leaving patients with unfinished dental work and no answers.
Approximately 50 of Woodbury Dental Arts’ patients were able to receive dental care from Dr. Christianson, who is “doing the work at-cost and donating his time.”
Dr. Christianson stopped taking patients a few weeks ago to get caught up, but once the care for those patients is completed, he will continue to take on more cases, the report said.
