Four more law firms have launched investigations into the recent data breach that hit Chord Specialty Dental Partners.

The data breach, which took place last year, affected more than 173,000 people. The DSO said that the type of information potentially affected varies by individual but may include other information such as names, addresses, Social Security numbers, bank account information and health insurance information.

The Levi & Korsinsky and Strauss Borrelli law firms announced earlier this month that they were investigating the data breach, including whether people affected by the breach are entitled to compensation.

Federman & Sherwood, Schubert Jonckheer & Kolbe, Edelson Lechtzin and Murphy Law Firm recently announced their own investigations into the data breach.
