Florida, California, Pennsylvania and North Carolina were the states where DSOs and dental groups were most active with practice additions, acquisitions and openings during May.

Florida
- Eau Claire, Wis.-based Specialty Smile Partners acquired a pediatric orthodontic practice in Winter Gardens, Fla.
- Effingham, Ill.-based Heartland Dental added Davie (Fla.) Dental to its network.
- Henderson, Nev.-based PDS Health has plans to open several new offices in Florida.
California
- Sacramento, Calif.-based Straine Dental Management acquired Regents Dental Group in San Diego.
- Irving, Texas-based U.S. Oral Surgery Management partnered with Sierra Foothills Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, which has four locations in California.
- Scottsdale, Ariz.-based Imagen Dental Partners affiliated with Albert Silvera, DDS, and his practice in Beverley Hills, Calif.
Pennsylvania
- New Hyde Park, N.Y.-based Dental365 acquired Kaiser, Rosen & Kurman in Philadelphia.
- Cumming, Ga.-based OMS360 partnered with Pittsburgh Oral Surgery, which has four practice locations in Pennsylvania.
North Carolina
- Chicago-based Aspen Dental opened a new practice in Garner, N.C.
- Charlotte, N.C.-based Flagship Specialty Partners opened a new location in Raleigh, N.C.
