More than a dozen DSOs have launched in the last several years as competition in the dental field grows.
Here is how five new DSOs have expanded their networks since launching:
Archway Dental Partners
- Archway Dental Partners added its first New York practice, Advanced Dentistry of Scarsdale and Advanced Dentistry of Chappaqua.
- The DSO acquired the Pediatric Dental Center of Avon and New Britain Dental Arts in Connecticut.
- The company also added The Scarsdale Dentist in New York.
Max Surgical Specialty Management
- Max Surgical Specialty Management secured a $77 million senior credit facility in April to fuel its growth.
- MSSM expanded into New York, Pennsylvania and Vermont.
- The oral and maxillofacial surgery platform partnered with New England Oral Surgery in Vermont and Simpson Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in New York.
Bond Orthodontic Partners
- The company entered Nevada, Idaho, and Washington.
- Bond Orthodontic Partners added New Age Braces to its network.
- The company added Beglin Orthodontics, which has five offices throughout California and Nevada.
- The organization added Wu Orthodontics and Kirk Orthodontics in California.
- Bond Orthodontic Partners added Oceanside, Calif.-based Allen Orthodontics to its network.
- Bond added Andrew Rosen Orthodontics, which has locations in Tucson and Sierra Vista, Ariz.
- Bond partnered with Braces by Garcia, with locations in Temecula, Menifee and Orange, Calif.
- The company added Stormberg Orthodontics in La Mesa, Calif.
- The company partnered with Berro Orthodontics, with locations in Los Alamitos and Chino Hills, Calif.
Phase 1 Equity
- Phase 1 Equity expanded its network into California, Tennessee, Louisiana, Texas, New Jersey, Ohio and Pennsylvania.
- The company has added an orthodontic practice in Texas.
Straine Dental Management
- Straine Dental Management acquired its first practices in Maryland, Oklahoma, Maine, Arkansas and Florida.
- Straine Dental Management acquired Regents Dental Group in San Diego.
- In March, Straine announced it added five dental practices across Texas, Missouri and South Carolina.
- Straine Dental Management added a dental practice in Benton, Ark.
- In June 2023, Straine acquired six dental practices in three states.
- The DSO marked its 40th practice addition in March 2024 after affiliating with Ghina Morad, DMD, and her practice in Redwood City, Calif.
