8 dental company expansions, investments in 10 days

Here are eight dental company expansions and investments Becker’s has reported on in 10 days. 

1. Davary & Smith Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery & Dental Implant Center has opened in Sterling, Va. The practice was founded by Ashkan Davary, DDS, MD, and Christopher Smith, DDS, MD. 

2. The Woodlands, Texas-based Blue Cloud Pediatric Surgery Centers plans to open a practice in Reno, Nev., in 2027. This will be the organization’s second location in Nevada.

3. Dental procurement and spend management platform Dentira has received a strategic growth investment from Vista Equity Partners. The investment will fuel the company’s next phase of product and platform development, including the expansion of its AI and automation software.

4. Southlake, Texas-based Allied OMS added its first New Jersey practice. The organization partnered with Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery of Central New Jersey, which has locations in Princeton Junction and Mercerville, N.J.

5. Dental lab company Dandy has acquired Neem, a dental practice management software company. The two companies said they aim to advance digital innovation in restorative dentistry.

6. Chicago-based Aspen Dental opened two locations in Texas and Washington Dec. 18. The first office opened in Seguin, Texas, and is led by Owner Nader Mekhael, DMD. The second office opened in Bonney Lake, Wash., and is led by Managing Clinical Director Gagan Bhattal, DMD.

7. Aspen Dental also opened locations in Nacogdoches, Texas, and Casper, Wyo. The Texas office is led by Kevin Hollar, DDS, while the Wyoming office is led by David Thielen, DMD.
8. Scottsdale, Ariz.-based Imagen Dental Partners added a Florida dental practice to its network. The DPO affiliated with Alexander Dental, led by James Alexander, DMD.
