Chicago-based Aspen Dental will close its office in Lockport, Ill., later this month, according to information shared with Becker’s.

A spokesperson for Aspen Dental told Becker’s the move is part of a process in which practice owners within the company’s network regularly review market conditions and the needs of their offices.

“Based on that process, some offices across the country have or will consolidate with nearby Aspen Dental locations in the coming months, including the Lockport office, which will consolidate with the nearby Joliet office on April 26,” the spokesperson said. “The priority is ensuring a seamless transition for patients whether they choose to transfer their care to Joliet or another location of their choosing, and supporting team members through the transition. All team members in good standing are eligible for transfer or relocation to another Aspen Dental office.”

The move comes after Aspen Dental closed and consolidated a practice in Gloucester, Mass., in late March. The company has also opened several offices this year, including in Georgia and New Jersey.

Aspen Dental supports more than 1,100 dental practices in the U.S.

At the Becker's 5th Annual Future of Dentistry Roundtable, taking place September 14-15 in Chicago, dental leaders and executives will gain insights into emerging technologies, practice growth strategies and the evolving landscape of dental care delivery, with a focus on innovation, patient experience and operational excellence.
