Five states saw at least two DSO moves in May, as reported by Becker’s, including practice openings, acquisitions and affiliations.

- Henderson, Nev.-based PDS Health opened Marketplace Dentistry in Buckeye, Ariz.
- Denver-based Lone Peak Dental Group acquired AZ Family & Kid’s Dental in Phoenix.
Colorado
- Dallas-based Apex Dental Partners affiliated with five new practices in Colorado.
- Phoenix-based SALT Dental Partners opened Smile Vista Kids Dental & Orthodontics, a de novo pediatric practice in Denver.
Florida
- Effingham, Ill.-based Heartland Dental opened four de novo practices in Florida and affiliated with Clear Skies Dental Care in Brandon, Fla.
- PDS Health opened Heritage Harbour Dentistry in Bradenton, Fla.
- Boca Raton, Fla.-based Sage Dental opened a pediatric dental practice in Orlando, Fla.
New York
- Heartland Dental affiliated with Western New York Dental Group in Aurora, N.Y.
- Irving, Texas-based U.S. Oral Surgery Management partnered with Hudson Valley Oral Surgery, which has three locations in New York.
Texas
- PDS Health opened The Oaks Modern Dentistry in San Antonio.
- Chicago-based Phase 1 Equity added a multilocation orthodontic practice in Texas.
- Chicago-based Aspen Dental opened a practice location in Bastrop, Texas.
