1. Paul Petrungaro, DDS, a former Illinois dentist whose license was placed on permanent inactive status in 2025, was sentenced to 18 months of court supervision and fined $1,500 for practicing dentistry without a license.

2. The license of Chrishelle Hemphill, DDS, was temporarily suspended in July.

3. The license of Kirti Chopra, DDS, was temporarily suspended in May after city health officials reported several violations at her practice.

4. The Iowa Dental Board fined Robert Wolf, DDS, $10,000 and suspended his license temporarily in connection with the death of a patient.

5. Justin Scott, DMD, leader of Pure Dental Health, had his license suspended by the Georgia Board of Dentistry in March, saying he “poses a threat to the public health.”

6. The Texas State Board of Dental Examiners suspended the license of a dentist accused of committing child sex crimes.
