Adam V. Slatniske, DDS, was charged with five counts of promoting/distributing child pornography and five counts of possessing child pornography, according to court records.
Dr. Slatniske, 28, is no longer employed at Parkville Family Dentistry, James Kokorelis, DDS, the practice’s owner, told Carroll County Times. The practice has taken Dr. Slatniske’s name down from its website as well.
“We take these allegations very seriously and had no knowledge of this condemnatory behavior,” Dr. James Kokorelis said. “We want our patients to know that we value them and their dental health above all else. We look forward to welcoming a new outstanding dentist to our practice very soon.”
Investigators discovered Dr. Slatniske possessed and shared images of child pornography on a social network service after receivinga tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, police say.
The dentist was arrested Nov 4. and released on a $20,000 bond Nov. 5. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Nov. 27.
