Artificial intelligence in dentistry: 5 recent updates

A DSO that plans to expand the use of artificial intelligence technology at its practices and four other AI updates that have taken place in the dental industry since July 6:

1. The University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine will add artificial intelligence technology to its classrooms through a partnership with Bola AI.

2. Perimetrics, an artificial intelligence dental diagnostics company, formed an eight-member clinical advisory board. 

3. Waltham, Mass.-based 42 North Dental plans to fully roll out use of VideaHealth’s artificial intelligence technology after seeing positive results in its network. 

4. Dental artificial intelligence company Overjet partnered with Kleer, a dental membership software company.  

5. Bola AI and Pearl teamed up to combine their dental artificial intelligence products into one package.
