Dental industry by the numbers: No. 1 school, state, city for dentistry

Massachusetts reports the highest supply of dentists and is also among the states with the highest dental treatment cost. Here are some statistics about the U.S. dental industry for 2019 and 2020 compiled by Becker's.

States with lowest dental treatment costs: Alabama, Kentucky, Mississippi, Tennessee and Texas

Best small city for dentists: Dalton, Ga.
Best midsize city for dentists: Burlington, Vt.
