The American Dental Association has released proposed standards on dental cartridges and water quality for review.
The first proposal sets requirements for the use of single-use cartridges of specific sizes with local anesthetics. The second proposed standard specifies manufacturer requirements for various products, including devices that deliver procedural water and products that control the microbiological quality of dental procedural water, according to a May 22 news release.
The proposed standards are available for comment until June 10.
