1. SmileDirectClub completed the transition to its newest manufacturing technology at its Tennessee facility to increase productivity by 225 percent.

2. Dental laser company Biolase plans to partner with postgraduate specialty dental programs to expand the use of its laser technology among dental professionals.

3. Keith Flack, DDS, of North Mankato (Minn.) Family Dentistry, is the first dentist in the state to use the Yomi Robotic Dental System for dental implant surgery.

4. A team of engineers and researchers is developing nanotechnology-based oral healthcare products that could hit the market in four to five years.

5. David Lustbader, DMD, who is affiliated with Waltham, Mass.-based DSO 42 North Dental, completed the world’s first full arch robotic dental implant procedure with Neocis’ Yomi-Go workflow.

6. Researchers at Penn Dental Medicine and its Center for Innovation & Precision Dentistry have found that microrobots can be used for detailed endodontic treatments and diagnostics.
