The company tapped The McGuire Institute for a first-of-its-kind study to compare Biolase’s Waterlase Repair Perio protocol to traditional minimally invasive surgical techniques, according to a Nov. 8 news release. The trial was conducted to meet standards from the American Association of Periodontology Best Evidence Consensus.
The study confirmed the efficacy of Biolase’s Waterlase Repair Perio protocol and reported positive patient outcomes. It also found no adverse events from the procedure.
