Faraday Future has delivered its Master humanoid robot to Wonderful Life Dental Group in Los Angeles, marking the company’s first deployment of an embodied AI robot in a healthcare setting.
The robot supports front-desk functions and will help with patient check-ins, appointment look-ups, reception assistance and wayfinding guidance, according to a June 4 news release from Faraday Future.
At this time, the robot will not be used in any clinical or medical procedure areas.
“I just wanted the newest technology in the office, and I think FF EAI robotics is the trend to go with,” Jack Pai, DDS, owner of the dental practice, said in the release. “I wanted to eliminate inefficiencies in the office, and have it help guide patients.”
