1. The University of Rochester (N.Y.) plans to open the Eastman School of Dentistry, the university’s first new school in more than 50 years.
2. In April, Georgia Southern University broke ground on the state’s second dental school, which will help address the state’s shortage of dental professionals.
3. Yeshiva University College of Dental Medicine welcomed its inaugural class of students in July, becoming the first new dental school in New York City in more than a century.
