Here are five things to know about the American Dental Association President Joseph Crowley, DDS.
1. Dr. Crowley became president of the professional society in October 2017. He was elected president-elect in 2016.
2. On top of being president of the ADA, Dr. Crowley serves as a general dentist in Cincinnati.
3. Previously, Dr. Crowley served as the seventh district trustee to the ADA House of Delegates. He also served as the Ohio Dental Association's president in 2005 to 2006 and was the president of the Cincinnati Dental Society in 1996.
4. Dr. Crowley joined the ADA more than 40 years ago. He is also a member of the American College of Dentists, International College of Dentists and Academy of General Dentistry.
5. He earned his doctor of dental surgery degree from Columbus-based The Ohio State University College of Dentistry.
