North Carolina dentist treats gunshot victim: 3 details

Matt Miller, DDS, treated a gunshot victim at practice in Cleveland, N.C., according to CBS 17.

Here are three details:

1. Dr. Miller is a sedation dentist with military experience. He told CBS 17 that the victim came in covered in blood, and he immediately knew he sustained a gunshot injury.

2. With expertise in handling trauma, Dr. Miller stabilized the victim's vitals before the paramedics arrived.

3. Officials said the victim was shot in the neck during an armed robbery at a car dealership. The Johnston County Sheriff's Office is still searching for the two men and woman involved in the armed robbery and shooting.
