Hitman found guilty in Texas pediatric dentist's death

A Dallas County jury found Kristopher Love guilty in the death of pediatric dentist Kendra Hatcher, DDS, 35, according to CBS News.

Mr. Love was hired as a hitman to kill Dr. Hatcher in September 2015. Prosecutors claim Mr. Love was hired by the former girlfriend of Dr. Hatcher's significant other at the time of the death.

The getaway driver, Crystal Cortes, testified in the case against Mr. Love. In her testimony, Ms. Cortes said Mr. Love shot Dr. Hatcher. She said they planned to stage the murder as a robbery gone wrong.

Ms. Cortes pleaded guilty to capital murder. She is expected to receive a 35-year prison sentence.

The woman who is accused of orchestrating Dr. Hatcher's death, Brenda Delgado, is awaiting trial. She is charged with capital murder. After being questioned by the police about the dentist's death, Ms. Delgado fled to Mexico, where she waits because of an extradition agreement.
