Man dies after allegedly robbing Iowa dental practice

The suspect in an Iowa dental practice robbery died shortly after the owner of the practice discovered him, according to local NBC affiliate KWCQ.

On March 18 around 2 a.m. police were called to OVertuff Dental Office in Maquoketa, Iowa after receiving a call about an introducer. When police arrived at the scene they found the 44-year-old suspect unresponsive.

According to the police, the owner of the practice was asleep inside when he heard a noise. After trying to fall back to sleep, the owner got up to find the suspect trying to exit the dental practice. The owner tackled the suspect who quickly became unresponsive.

The suspect was rushed to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police are investigating the incident.
