Five dentists making headlines:
1. Denis Froehlich, DDS, and Howard Smith, DDS, were indicted Feb 19 on charges of fraudulent schemes and artifices. The case was unsealed this week after the dentists made their first court appearances.
2. Waltham, Mass.-based 42 North Dental has partnered with two-practice dental organization Southern Connecticut Dental Group, led by Jay Dworkin, DMD, and Ira Stein, DDS.
3. Ventura, Calif.-based dentist and periodontist Homayoun Zadeh, DDS, is accused of bribing University of Southern California officials to get his daughter admitted.
