9 dental companies making headlines

Here's the latest roundup of dental companies that have been in the headlines, including Aspen Dental and SmileDirectClub.

1. Pittsburgh-based North American Dental Group co-founders Ken Cooper and Andrew Matta, DDS, entered an acquisition agreement with private investment firm Jacobs Holding.

2. SmileDirectClub filed its initial public offering Aug. 19, after weeks of rumors that the company would be going public.
