Here's the latest roundup of dental companies that have been in the headlines, including Aspen Dental and SmileDirectClub.

1. East Syracuse, N.Y.-based Aspen Dental has appointed Jan LeBeau, as vice president of hygiene support for the West Coast.

2. West Chester, Pa.-based Children's Dental Management tapped Noah Quinn, DMD, to serve as its first chief dental officer.

3. SmileDirectClub is building a new manufacturing lab in Kyle, Texas, which will generate hundreds of jobs.

4. Swift Health Systems announced Oct. 8 that the company has raised $45 million in a third round of funding for the commercialization of the new brand of invisible braces.
