Dentists around the country are using the Yomi Robotic Dental System, the only FDA-cleared robot-assisted dental surgery system in the U.S.
Here are nine dentists using the robot:
1. David Yang, DMD, a dentist in Flagstaff, Ariz., gave himself a dental implant using the Yomi robot.
2. Kelly Blodgett, DMD, of Portland-based Blodgett Dental Care, and Tony Barriere, DDS, of Los Angeles-based West LA Implants were the first to use the Yomi dental implant robot at their respective practices.
3. The dental practice of Robert Payne, DDS, in Naples, Fla., is the first in Southwest Florida to offer robotic tooth implant surgery with Yomi.
4. Round Rock, Texas-based periodontist Ali Arastu, DMD, began using the Yomi robot for dental implants.
5. Reed Gibbons, DDS, and Tom Draper, DDS, used Yomi in 90 cases, placing 172 implants.
6. Leslie Fish, DDS, and LisaMarie Sarhangian, DDS, MD, completed more than 1,500 dental implants with the Yomi robot at their practice, Fish and Sarhangian in Chandler, Ariz.
