Several dental organizations and health systems have invested in initiatives to expand dental services and increase integration between medical and dental care.
Here are four updates Becker's has reported on since Dec. 5:
1. Atlanta-based DSO Benevis called on primary care providers to work with dentists on establishing dental care for children.
2. New Hyde Park, N.Y.-based Northwell Health acquired two dental practices to expand services in Nassau County, N.Y.
3. Irvine, Calif.-based Pacific Dental Services and Fountain Valley, Calif.-based MemorialCare opened their first co-located integrated office in Irvine, Calif.
4. Atlantic City, N.J.-based AtlantiCare will open its first dental clinic in Atlantic City in February.
