Man allegedly forged $10K+ in checks from Virginia dentist

A 28-year-old man was arrested for allegedly altering checks he received for construction work at the office and home of a Virginia dentist, according to Alexandria Now.

The man allegedly completed construction at the dentist’s office and then at the dentist’s home during 2019 and 2020. He is accused of adding more than $10,000 to 10 checks he received and then depositing them.

The suspect was arrested Aug. 18 and released on bail after being charged with forgery and uttering.
