New York dentist found dead while hooked to IV with heavy sedatives

Westchester, N.Y., dentist Jeremy Wertman, DDS, 38, was found dead in his car, according to New York Daily News.

Police found the dentists with an IV bag of Propofol shooting into his foot. Dr. Wertman died on the scene.

Currently, New York’s medical examiner is determining whether Dr. Wertman passed away from an overdose or other complications.

Dr. Wertman was previously affiliated with Montefiore Medical Center in New York City until last year, a hospital spokesperson told New York Daily News.
