Cherry Tree Dental makes first out-of-state acquisition

Madison, Wis.-based Cherry Tree Dental has acquired its first practice outside of Wisconsin, according to a Sept. 14 news release.

The dental practice management company acquired Downers Grove, Ill.-based Richard Patelski DDS Family and General Dentistry. Dr. Patelski’s practice has been open since 1981 and offers general, implant and cosmetic dentistry.

Founded in 2006, Cherry Tree is the one of the largest general dentistry providers in Wisconsin, with 33 locations in 10 Wisconsin cities and Downers Grove, Ill. The organization employs an acquisition and office consolidation strategy dedicated to small, one- or two-dentist practices.

In February, Miami-based ICV Partners, a leading investment firm that focuses on lower middle market companies, made a majority investment in Cherry Tree Dental.
