The DSO said in a June 15 news release the division was created to reflect the diversity and unique needs of its practices. The addition will focus on growth and support of adult specialties including endodontics, periodontics, prosthodontics and oral surgery.
The new model coincides with DCA’s family specialty division supporting orthodontics and pediatric dentistry and its general dentistry division. Each division will also have their own management teams, with the DSO tapping Sarah Balaster, DMD, to serve as chief dental officer for adult specialty and hygiene.
