The Smilist’s growth in 2024: 3 key moves

Great Neck, N.Y.-based The Smilist gained a $285 million unitranche debt facility earlier this year to fuel its growth, helping the DSO to reach nearly 100 offices across the Northeast.

CEO Andrew Mintz told Becker’s the investment would help the company achieve 50% growth in 2024.

Here are three growth moves from the DSO so far this year:

1. Hirshberg Wozny Dental Care and Hirshberg Dental Associates of Boston joined The Smilist in October.

2. The Smilist acquired Lakeview Dental Care, which has six locations throughout New Jersey.

3. The DSO entered Maryland by adding Simply Beautiful Smiles’ 23 offices.
