1. Heartland Dental supports more than 1,650 offices, more than 2,600 doctors and more than 20,000 team members in 38 states.
2. Heartland Dental was founded in 1997 by Rick Workman, DMD, who also serves as executive chair.
3. Pat Bauer has been president of Heartland Dental since 2009. Before becoming CEO in 2015, he served as COO since 1997.
4. The DSO established Heartland Dental University in July to provide continuing education opportunities to its affiliated dentists and employees.
5. Becker’s has reported on four moves costing Heartland Dental more than $3.8 million, including practice openings and expansion projects.
